Is it possible to remove braces on your own?

It is theoretically possible, but not desirable.

Braces are removed with special forceps. After removing the bracket, adhesive material is left on the teeth — it is removed with a drill and the enamel is polished with rubber bands. If you remove braces at home without special tools, you can traumatize the ligaments and enamel. Remains of material on the teeth will look unaesthetic and complicate home hygiene.
