How long does it take to get braces fitted?
The doctor's answer
At Konfidencia, we use the indirect fixation method — transferring braces from a customized mouth guard to the entire tooth row at once.
The process of bonding braces to 1 tooth row takes 40 minutes to 1 hour. First, an etching gel is applied to the teeth to improve retention, then the tooth enamel is thoroughly washed and dried. The dry surface is coated with orthodontic adhesive. A mouth guard with braces is then placed on the teeth. Each tooth is illuminated with a dental lamp to cure the material. The mouth guard is removed and the braces remain on the teeth. The indirect fixation method is much faster and more comfortable than gluing each bracket separately, especially on the side teeth.
