Is it okay to drink soda with braces?
The doctor's answer
Sugar-sweetened lemonades cannot directly damage your braces.
But regular consumption of sugary drinks increases the likelihood of tooth decay. For dental treatment, the braces will have to be partially peeled off to access your teeth. If you have aesthetic braces, the dyes in sugary sodas can discolor the locks.
