Can braces be put on partially?

Is it better to have aesthetic braces or veneers without grinding? Is it possible to put not on all teeth, but on those that are not straight?
The doctor's answer
We recommend that you receive treatment in 2 stages:
- Orthodontic treatment using a bracket system for 1.5 years
- Aesthetic restoration in a minimal amount. Installation of veneers in the smile area on the central 6 teeth of the upper row.
Important:
- Placement of veneers on the front teeth of the upper jaw is possible without preliminary alignment of teeth, but it will entail preparation («grinding») of teeth in a large volume.
- In the situation with the lower jaw, veneers cannot be installed without first aligning the teeth.
- Failure to correct the bite will lead to the fragility of the veneers, their chipping and destruction, because the correct closure of the teeth will not be restored.
Possible treatment options:
Combined bracket system
From the point of view of effectiveness and aesthetics, and taking into account your situation, we would recommend treatment with a combined bracket system on both jaws:
- Ceramic transparent braces Damon Clear on the upper jaw and
- Metal self-ligating braces Damon Q on the lower jaw.
Please note that these recommendations are for informational purposes only. To make a diagnosis and prescribe a treatment plan, you need to consult and diagnose an orthodontist.
